We are working with one of our sponsors to learn more about what iVillage women think about home gardening and urban farming initiatives in their communities.

Our friends at Triscuits are working on a new Home Farm initiative and we want to know if you're planning on starting a home garden this year.

What would you say is your main motivation?

Are you looking to save money, live healthier, be more eco-conscious or just start a fun family project?

Let us know what has inspired you to start a garden this year.

We are planting a garden this year for several reasons.

One is to save money. We can plant a big garden, can the veggies and eat off them most of the winter.

Also, growing our own gardens allows us to grow them a bit more organically.

For me, I uses the garden to teach my kids where food come from. I use the square foot garden method. And my girls help me plant and water. I got some baby carrot seeds and they loved planted them. And you can't let the baby out back with out her watering everything.
