lol, yeah I tend to go at things all at once. it annoys my dh, but I can't help it! =)

anyway, thanks for all the info.

I guess my main question is : can I paint my kitchen like a green or even purple without it clashing much (or at all) with my living room, since they're partially open to each other? I am probably going to replace the tile, but not the counter tops, at lleast for a while.

Thanks!

no, I actually haven't. I'm about 99% positive I'm going to paint my bathroom a sage green (I am going for an asian theme). For my kitchen, though, I'm still undecided.... I was thinking maybe sage in there too...or maybe yellow, orange (burnt), or bluish/purple (periwinkle?).... the problem is it is open to our living room, which is painted a very light blue, with blue/gray carpet, and I'm not sure if I would have to incorporate the kitchen wall color into the LR??? If I would need to then I would probably choose the green or blue...if not then I could be more creative/free to work with it...I just don't want it to be all tacky....wdyt?

thanks for the interest! -Anna

Sage green is a great color for a Asian look bathroom Anna. Some Asian prints on the wall framed in black or bamboo frames

I have a similar set-up in my apt with the kitchen and lr open to each other. I also have blue paint in my lr but I think it is darker than yours. I have a bright golden yellow in the kitchen and they work really well together. Since your blue is lighter, you
