What kind of wall accessories do you use?

Here is a great idea and you may already have some pretty plates in your closets:

I love this one along with the fresh flowers on the table!

Well, there isn't a bare wall in this house so clearly we have wall accessories! LOL

Mainly, it's artwork of one kind or another: painting from various places we've visited (water colors, oils, prints or all kind, mostly landscapes, from England, Scotland, Wales, and China mainly, and in all styles, from primitive to representational), but also there are the framed pieces of Chinese embroidery and Kingfisher jewelry, several wood carvings (also from China: the larger pieces are several pairs of window screens and one door lintel but there are also carvings that probably once adorned bed posts or other furniture), some mounted Bedouin jewelery and three antique Bedouin curved knives, or khanja (from Saudi Arabia)!

There is also a small collection of American art (mainly watercolor scenes of teh San Francisco Bay Area by Marilyn Simandel, but there is one oil on paper done by the sister of a friend, and one oil of bluebonnets in Texas Hill Country, to say nothing of a huge collection of signed-and-numbered silk screen prints we used to collect way back when), some of DH's photographs, a few pieces of my stitchery, and a metal sculpture of a Great Blue Heron (bought in Micanopy, FL!)!

DH has actually mounted two jigsaw puzzles he assembled once we moved here and hung them in the basement (being lighter than the usual framed photo, they can be hug with t-pins in those cloth-covered Owens Corning panels that form our walls down there).

And I have a Hawaiian quilt hanging in my bedroom!

If we had walls big enough, we could hang our Persian carpets (or at least some of them).

Truly eclectic, I think you could say!

IRON-ON WALL ART:
http://thisthriftyhouse.blogspot.com/2010/09/iron-on-wall-art.html

That's right --- iron on. This blogger uses heat-n-bond to attach fabric motifs to her child's nursery! And when you tire of it (or your child does), it just peels off!
