Odd Living Room Corners

i have an odd corner in my living room that i have no idea what to do with. it is small and on the left side of the archway into the kitchen. it is probably about a 2ft x 3ft space. one long part of the wall i have a painting nothing below it and nothing on the short wall. it is also the space to the right of the entertainment unit. it is not big enough for a chair and near the floor is an outlet that i need to use. my house is a mix of modern and classic styles, sounds odd but looks good together. i was thinking about a plant (palm) or table. i don't like fake plants and i am not good with live ones so i think the palm is out. i also don't like a lot of clutter and i want to leave the painting where it is. i don't mind layering.
