Room is too brown!!

Our couches are brown, our floor is brown and our TV stand is black. All in all, very drab. We're having our housewarming party next week, Help!! Our throw pillows are green, but even with those it doesn't help. I need ideas on what to hang, we have soooo much wall space. An area rug wouldn't really work. Our walls are cream. Does anyone have any inks or photos of an antique/country looking living room with brown furniture?? LOL, any help would be appreciated.

Would you consider and be able to paint maybe one wall a bright color?

Welcome monkeygirlxoxo!

Well, Crystalyn gave you some very good ideas. Thanks hon!

Here is a few more. Since you have antique/country, to carry that theme you could hang a pretty colorful quilt on the wall or blanket for some color. I have done this and it looks really nice on a focal wall like artwork, say behind your sofa. Painting some old wood

Maybe if I saw a picture of a throw rug on wall to wall, but I can't picture it!! In my head it would look funny, but maybe if I saw what other people are doing it would help!!!
