Sherrilyn Kenyon's Heroes are not so much vampires though they do have fangs, drink blood and can't be out in the sun... o.k. I guess they are kind of vampires. They are ancient warriors who were granted eternal life from the goddess Artemis to protect the human race from daimons. Daimons are Fabio looking bad guys.

Read "Fantasy Lover" for Kenyon's paranormal romantic best (IMO). Kenyons writing style reminds me of Christine Feehan and her Carpathian-Dark Series. If your not familiar with Feehan then you should check her out. She puts a different spin on the vampire genre. Carpathians are the good guys seeking out their lifemates while killing vampires in the process. Read "Dark Guardian" if you are interested.

The library said I had an estimated 31 days wait for Monkey, but I am excited anyway. ~Joey

Whoopsey, I'm sorry. If your going to read Christine Feehan don't start with "Dark Guardian", start with "Dark Prince". While Guardian is a good book you will want to start at the beginning of the series. ~ Joey

Finished reading Lake of Sorrows by Erin Hart. I loved her first, Haunted Ground, so this was a sure-to-read one. Both centered around archaeological sites in Ireland, specifically 2000 year-old bodies discovered in the bogs. And then more recently murdered ones.

Lake took a long time to build momentum and after

Hi Jessica,

"Hippie" sounds like a book that's fun to read and fun to look at also!
