In this "dow' real estate market, are you...

  • less likely to remodel your kitchen
  • more likely to remodel your kitchen
  • the real estate market doesn't influence my plans
  • I will be doing all the work myself and looking for bargains
  • other... because there always is an "other"

You will be able to change your vote.

Ooops! That should say "down" real estate market!

Anyway, I vote that the market doesn't influence my plans as we aren't looking at selling in the near future. This is, I hope, our last house.

Yes, this is our last home too Carol, lucky #7.

Real Estate is so bad now and many families are loosing their homes. We paid off this home so no worries here.

Ask Theh Builder at http://www.askthebuilder.com/699_Granite_Tile_comments.shtml says it is doable but the edges can be a probleml...

This site described three kinds of edging (wooden being the simplest, overlapping which is better for marbel or other soft stones, and bullnose which requires a professional grinding job):

Great info!

Thanks so much Carol.

Looks like to do a good job we have to lay plywood down, then hardy backer and screw and tape these to the counter top first. Once I get the tile picked out our tile friend is going to do it for us. He has a diamond saw to cut it and all.

Thanks again!

Thanks for joining us!
