At this year's spring shows, the latest crop of kitchen and bath products offered warmth and romance. Bright color, exotic stone and luminous glass lent a personal touch to ­professional-looking kitchens. Bathroom fixtures were dressed up in glamorous finishes like black and gold. As always, the best designs were intelligent ones. They reimagined the functions of appliances and fixtures by adding a dose of plain common sense. Modern looks reigned supreme: Minimal cabinetry featured unframed appliances, glass accessories and retractable fixtures that had a featherweight feel.
