Does your local newspaper include book reviews?

They do weekly book reviews in Entertainment Weekly & let you know about new releases
They only do them in the local papers on Sunday's edition
I don't recall seeing a book review in our local paper. Movies yes; books no. I do glance at the reviews in the People magazine during my lunch break at work. They usually have the latest from the more popular writers. I also enjoy reading the picks in my Literary Guild magazine. I've gotten some good titles from that.
Has anyone ever watched, I think it's C-span or something like that where they discuss books?
My local papers do not include book reviews. Actually, I don't ever read hard copies of newspapers anymore. I read them only online. However, since I work in a library and we subscribe to 7 different papers I have access to all of them. I live in a different part of the state, than where I work so I'm not sure if these local papers have book review. One of the papers we get at school is USA Today and I know they have book reviews.
Since I am a librarian, I obviously read book reviews all the time, however I read them in professional journals such as Booklist and School Library Journal.
Yes, our weekly local newspaper does, on occasion, have book reviews. I suspect it is during a slow "entertainment" week. They have even published one I sent eons ago. The Seattle PI
My local paper (published three days a week) in this small town publishes two book reviews every other week in the pull out guide incl. movie reviews, local theater doings, local activities.
I get most of my book reviews from NPR (National Public Radio). It is also my main news source, I don't often read the paper so I don't know if they have book reviews or not.

Julie,
Do you listen to
I listen to NPR in the car and at work. No, there is not a book show but they are always talking to authors and airing reviews on various shows. I got quite a few titles from an episode of Talk of the Nation last spring. They were talking about summer reading. They had a couple of experts giving suggestions and people were calling in with recommendations. That is how I discovered Jodi Picoult. Someone called in and recommended My Sister's Keeper.

Our local paper doesn't give book reviews but does publish the bestseller lists on Fridays. Mostly I get recommendations from Barnes and Noble.com or Amazon.com. I read what people thought of a particular book then go through their recommendations for other books. This method has greatly increased the size of my tbr list. ~Joey

Susie Q, I love your Bo and Constantine ticker!
Hi Teri,
Our local paper has very minimal coverage of books. USA Today has book reviews on Thursday. I subscribe to Entertainment Weekly which has a nice section on books. When I'm at B&N I pick up Pages or Bookmark. Also I go on a few web sites for reviews. One that I really like is Bookreporter.com. If you're interested in other let me know. Sue
