Here's a big hello and Welcome to our Newcomers...and an invitation to any lurkers to c'mon out and introduce yourselves!

The board is a friendly gathering of avid readers....many of us like to vary our genres.

Please tell us a bit about yourself and/or any favorite authors, genres, what you're reading these days...

And please feel welcome to post a new topic if you like!

I did have a beagle (she's with my ex- now), but she was nowhere near as intelligent as Einstein LOL

As far as I know, "Shutter Island" is a stand alone book.

Hi Jackie,

Welcome to this board. Everyone is friendly and together we have a wealth of knowledge for good reads. I loved "Mystic River" it was fabulous! I also read "Shutter Island" which is good too!

My name is Sue and I live in Bucks County, Pa. It's funny what you said about crocheting. When I was young (I'm 56 now) I used to crochet all of the time. I don't know if I could still do it. It was alot of fun. I even remember making doll clothes for my daughter. Are you good? Maybe you could send me something simple to crochet?
