I'm reading more than one book right now. Very unusual for me. I put Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell aside for the moment because The Time Traveler's Wife came in it is a two week book and since they are both rather long I figured I needed to finish it first. I am loving it. I believe some of you ladies had a hard time getting into it. Not me, I was hooked right from the start. I only have a little more than 100 pages left. And I'm reading bit by bit Jeanne DuPrau's the People of Sparks the sequel to The City of Ember. My book club is discussing The City of Ember on Thursday and I'd like to have this finished by then too but I don't think I will. And I'm reading When the Emperor Was Divine by Julie Otsuka. It is a novel about the Japanese Internment Camp, Topaz, located near Delta, Utah. One of the ladies I work with was interned there and she loaned it to me. It is a very sad and horrible episode in history.

I'm still working my way through Fast Food Nation. It's quite interesting. I've also started Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters. It's the first Amelia Peabody mystery, and so far I'm really enjoying it.

I'm nearly finished with Jodi Picoult's book, 'Second Glance'. It's about a paranormal investigator, a ghost and a murder/suicide?' It's a great read and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm about 1/2 way thru Dear Zoe by Philip Beard. It's a fiction about a 15 yr old girl who's little sister dies and how she deals with it. The whole book is the 15 yr old "talking" to her little sister.

It sounded a lot better than it actually is. It's a little on the boring side. Of coarse I can't just stop reading a book once I started so I'll finish it anyways. Hopefully I'll get done with it tonight and then tomorrow I'll start The Shining by Stephen King.

I just started Anne Rice's Blackwood Farm today - it's the next to last (second most recent?) of the Vampire Chronicles, I think, and it seem to tie in (just a bit so far) with the Mayfair books
