I'm A and B...

I usually end up playing the field while I am waiting for a favorite author to get another book written, or for the one at the library to come in or..

but, once I find an author I like/love, I will read as many of his or her books as I can. And in their proper order if I can help it! (I think that drives my BF nuts! LOL.)

It's fun to see so many different reading personalities! I have virtually no attention span and my bookshelves prove it. While I may adore an author, I can't read more than 2 in a row without being lulled to sleep by the same writing style. I usually try to break it up with at least 3 books in between. I've actually tired of Maeve Binchy, Anita Shreve and Tracy Chevalier at times - 3 of my very favorite authors. Even Shakespeare wears thin by the third play. I guess for me, variety is the spice of life.

I love getting to return to a favorite author though after a reprieve. It's nearly always worth the wait!
