What's the setting for your current (or most recent) book?

I'm in Israel in 1948 during the war for independence. I'm reading A New Dawn, Volume 3 of Robert Marcum's House of Israel trilogy.

Oh, Jackie and SusieQ!!! I am such a fan of Anne Rice!!! I love her stuff to death! (Easy to do if your a vampire.. heeheh) I've read every single one of her books and am desperately waiting for any new ones to come out.

Someday I'll have to go back and read them all over again..but for now I have plenty of books to keep me happy.

As for the subject of this post:

The year is 1765 (20 years later), and I've just found the love of my life again! We have been all over Scotland and are just getting ready to head back to France in search of my husband's young nephew who has been kidnapped.

My hugsband is a huge red-headed Scottish man who wears a kilt. *drool*

Book 3 of the Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.

Hi Heather,

Oooh, that handsome red haired, kilted man has *lots* of fans here on the ABC Board :)

For recent "Outlander" threads and news posts, just type Outlander or the author's name in the search box (upper left).

It starts just after WWII with the main character in a hospital recovering from her stay in a concentration camp. The first book covers her journey across Europe to Israel. The second book begins with the announcement of the Jewish state.
