The semester is over and now I have time to read whatever I want ... well almost ... after all the relatives that are coming out for graduations, etc. come and go.

Just got back from a Memorial Day horse camping trip and managed to sneak in one of Anne Perry's Thomas Pitt victorian murder mysteries -- I just love that era! Also have to read "Cold Sassy Tree" before DD heads to high school in the fall. It's required reading for parents and students!

Anyway, I'll poke around for some recommendations.

Yeah- that feel of freedom that comes with summer! The horse camping trip sounds like a wonderful reward. Who wrote "COld Sassy Tree" the title sounds familiar. I love the idea of parents and students reading together. I love sharing books with my daughter even though she is only six. We are starting Little House in the Big Woods wogether and there are so many I can't wait to share.

The Little House series is one of my absolute favorites! DD (now 13) actually read them to me about 3 years ago when I was struggling with a debilitating illness. She'd sit on my bed and read to me after school! Talk about a turn of the tides! She and I are both fascinated with with pioneer life and would love to visit the homesites of the Ingalls family someday. HOWEVER, after my horse camping experience last weekend, I think I am cured of ever wanting to actually LIVE the life!

It was cold, wet, foggy, slept in a tent, heating water to wash in, the smell of wood smoke that gets into EVERYTHING and the lack of flushing toilets did it for me! LOL

Can't think of who wrote "Cold Sassy Tree". DD took it to school with her today.

Finding books to add to my TBR is the easy part...deciding which of them
