<hey tammy,
i searched out this board specifically to see if there were any discussions about Oprah's books (faulkner for the summer) and i found your message!
Welcome, Michelle!
Oooh, your labs are *gorgeous*.
hi terri,
thanks for the warm welcome, and i too could talk re. dogs for hours!! lol
i am so happy to have found this board. reading is a passion of mine for which i have not made enough time in quite a long while.
the guide dog program i work thru is a local one, with the dogs being placed here in upstate/western ny.
which is great because the puppy program is fairly small and i get to know everyone and the two dogs i've raised and let go (jessie and pj) are both working not too far from where i live. although i don't get to see them much i do get updates from their owners from time to time.
Hi Michelle.
You'll have to let me know what you think of the book as you get further into it. I have it sitting in my pile of books but I can't decide if I want to pick it up or not. I keep hearing how intense he is and I like to keep my summer reading light.
I wish Oprah would go with a "fun" book for once.
Hi All,
I picked up Oprah's Faulkner collection last night at B&N. I'm finishing up with Koontz's "Frankenstein". After that I will start "As I Lay Dying". Sue
Ok Michelle, I've got to know, are we going to be in the same marathon? :)
I read Anna Karenina last summer too. It was very hard for me to read. Personally, I don't see what the big fuss was about. I didn't care for the characters and was glad when it was over. LOL
Why oh why
