In the middle of the day, do you immediately (or as soon as possible) pick up another?

I usually start a new book later on that day if I get a chance.

I guess it depends on the book. If it was a really good one I usually like to think about it and let it linger for a day. If it was just an ok book then I'll pick up another one right after.

Well, I work in a library and I am always reading YA books so I can recommend stuff to my students. I read on my lunch hour. If I finish a book during the day I start a new one the next day at lunch. Despite what people think, we are not really supposed to read on the job, except for lunch. We are here to help the students.

At home if I finish a book, it is often days or weeks before I start a new one. I only read adult books at home.

I'm a person who likes (and needs) to ponder pretty much everything.

That pesky RL stuff can get in the way of quality reading time, huh?

Please feel free to ask for recommendations. I work in a high school but we have a lot of ESL kids so we often buy middle school level books too. I used to work in a middle school before here, so I've actually read quite a few MS level books too.

I really love literature and research, which is why I became a librarian, so I rarely mind when people ask me for help with either books or research. :)

>>I will always wait until the next day to start another book

I try to "time my reading" so that I finish a book near the end of the day, so that I can start fresh in the morning.
