Yes, I do have the whole summer off. We work on a teacher's calendar and are paid just like teachers. A lot of school librarians were teachers before they became librarians, including me. I was a special ed teacher. If you were not a teacher before, then you must take several education credits along with your library coursework to be a school librarian. Now that's probably more than you ever wanted to know! ;)

Over the summer we will be renting a beach house for a week on the RI shore. The rest of the summer the kids and I will spend at a nearby lake club we belong to.

Yes, I am counting down the days, 2 and 1/2 left to be exact!

I'm now onto Book 4, Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. I think I will make it through book 5 by July 16th so I will be totally ready for the new one. Book 4 finds Harry becoming involved in the Tri-Wizarding event taking place at Hogwarts. Gae

I pre-ordered Book 5 last year and I was so mad because I was the Fed-Ex driver's last delivery!! I didn't get my book until about 5:00 p.m.!! This year I am going with a friend to a Barnes & Noble bookstore and will get the book at midnight. My friend has done this before and says it's fun, so I am looking forward to it. Can't wait!! Gae

I'm re-reading Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper series, so am a quarter way through the first book "Fool's Puzzle". Also reading romance writer Anna Jeffrey's "Love Of A Stranger" and bought Janet Evanovich's "Eleven On Top" which I began last night.
