I read Carolina Moon and liked it as well.
Yes, I do have the whole summer off. We work on a teacher's calendar and are paid just like teachers. A lot of school librarians were teachers before they became librarians, including me. I was a special ed teacher. If you were not a teacher before, then you must take several education credits along with your library coursework to be a school librarian. Now that's probably more than you ever wanted to know! ;)
Over the summer we will be renting a beach house for a week on the RI shore. The rest of the summer the kids and I will spend at a nearby lake club we belong to.
Yes, I am counting down the days, 2 and 1/2 left to be exact!
i'm reading 3 things currently, with a few more stacked up next to the bed.
reading oprah's pick of As I lay dying by William Faulkner, not as hard to follow as I would have thought and a very interesting style of writing. i haven't decided if i like it or not yet but i think i might.
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants because i want to read it before I see the movie
Founding Mothers by Cokie Roberts
I'm reading Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie.
Finally read Joanne Harris's "Five Quarters of the Orange" -- excellent!
I finished London Bridges by James Patterson.
I'm re-reading Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper series, so am a quarter way through the first book "Fool's Puzzle". Also reading romance writer Anna Jeffrey's "Love Of A Stranger" and bought Janet Evanovich's "Eleven On Top" which I began last night.
