Well, I didn't get too much opportunity to read this weekend. I did finish "Dead Man's Bones", the latest China Bayles mystery by Susan Wittig Albert, and I started "Zorro" by Isabel Allende last night. Seems really good so far. My GF from WA has been wanting to move down here to CA for a long time, and she's finally going to do it. She has a job here starting 8/1 with a company she worked for before in WA. So now she has me out looking for an apartment for her. It's funny - I always think that I know this area pretty well, but I discovered neighborhoods I'd never visited before. Of the ones I looked at this weekend, I've narrowed it down to 3. Of course the one that would be most convenient for ME is probably the lesser of the three. And the one that would be close to her job is the farthest from me. So I think I'm just going to fax her the applications & turn them all in & see what happens. Leave it in the hands of fate. But there are still a few places I want to check on too, and I need to talk to her now that I've looked around, and get a clearer idea of what she wants. Eeek - all this responsibility!!! But it'll be really nice to have her around.

Hello everyone. I am currently reading "Dish & Tell". It's a great book that's a collection of true stories from 6 women who call themselves the Miami Bombshells. The stories cover all issues that relate to women: love, family, work, sex, etc...It's been very enjoying and very emotional at times, but I can relate to many of the stories. There's one story that I love about how one of the ladies taught topless aerobics on the beach in her 20s and now, twenty years later, she's driving a minivan with two kids and realizing how her life has changed so much. It's a great summer read.

<Ooh, a "book" board!
I'm currently reading the second book of the Left Behind series, Tribulation Force. I also picked up the 3rd and 4th books from the library. In the last week I read the first book, Left Behind; a book from J. D. Robb's "In Death" series; and re-read books 1, 4, and 5 of the Harry Potter seriesin preparation for book 6. Can you tell I'm into series right now? I'm also trying to find the 5 Sue Grafton books that I've missed. And I'm going to either buy or borrow the new Janet Evanovich/Stephanie Plum book. I have HP and the Half-Blood Prince pre-ordered so I'm hoping to be reading that come Saturday or Sunday.
Yes, I'm a reading junkie. I've been that way as long as I can remember...probably why I ended up teaching literature in a jr/sr high school. For some reason, I've been into mysteries lately but I'll read anything once; I'll read them two or more times if I like them.

Tracy,
If you're a "Reading Junkie", you have found a board populated with other "Reading Junkies" ;-).
We also refer to ourselves at Book-a-Holics, and hold regular meetings (see Book-a-Holic Meeting) threads, all are welcome at our "meetings" ;-)
