I have no idea what time ds's copy arrived (assuming it has!)...After he's looked forward to this day for months now, his dad decided to go camping for the weekend!

Mine came via the mail today at around 1pm. It's weird b/c Amazon said it was shipped via UPS and when I checked the progress on the UPS site it was delivered to the UPS place in a nearby town yesterday, but then it came via US mail. I think maybe UPS shipped the books to the local post offices and then had the mail carriers deliver them.

I just finished chapter 6. I just logged on here to see if anyone was posting about HP. I read the first page as soon as it arrived, but alas, I had housework to do so I couldn't sit down with it until we went to the lake later in the day.

I started to read the review of it in the NY Times but I stopped half way, because I was afraid they would reveal too much. So far so good! ;)

Yep they ship them to the Post Office. I was in a panic for my DD. Husband kept saying UPS does not deliver Saturdays.

I went to a Barnes & Noble on Friday night, got my wristband, joined in Harry Potter games and then at midnight, they started calling by numbers on the wristbands for people to come and get their books. Luckily we got there early enough we didn't have to wait too long. I actually got home by 1:30 a.m. I started reading it on Saturday evening and I finished it last night. I was quite traumatized and shocked at what happened at the end!! There was a book review from an AP writer on my local news website and it says, "A word of caution to all those hard-core fans about to dive into the latest adventures of Harry Potter: There will be tears. Yours." That was so true!! My friend and I will be talking to each other tonight on the phone to discuss it since we're both finished!

I got it from amazon at about 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon. I was so dissapointd because I had a lot of time earlier in the day to read and I was anxiously waiting for it. Next time I am going to the grocery store at midnight to buy it like I did with No. 5.

My son had his copy reserved at Barnes & Noble. He got it around 11am and had it finished at midnight. He brought it over for me last night and I've just barely started it. I have Thur and Fri off, so I'll probably wait until then to get really into it. I hate to start a great book and have to stop and go to work.
