Today I'm in 'clean up' reading mode ... I have 2/3 of the book "Healing the Soul in the Age of the Brain" (non-f) left to read over this summer; "Lord of the Dead", a gothic horror to get back to; and the last 1/2 of HP #4 "Goblet".
I pulled In the Company of Liars by David Ellis to the top and started that yesterday. It was recommended by a number of independent bookshop owners (mystery, of course). The book is written in a backwards time sequence, sometimes skipping back fourteen or sixteen or just one day.
It involves the FBI (funny I should be reading about them at this point in time) and a woman who committed suicide (but we know it was murder). She was on trial for murder but out on bail. We also know that she really wasn't guilty of the crime for which
Two of my favorite books. Interesting combination you've chosen. Cane River describes a group of the strongest & brightest women we can all admire. And then Poisenwood Bible which describes a woman who makes a dreadful choice with unusual consequences. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. dee
I'm reading Breath of Magic by Theresa Meidros which includes time travel and a bit of magic. I'm waiting patiently:) for my library requests... The Mermaids Chair, Zorro, and the next Benni Harper mystery, so which ever one gets here first is the next on my list
I just finished with "Winds of Change" by Mercedes Lackey and When I get home I'll start the 3rd book in that set; "Winds of Fury". I still have the 5th book in Diana Gabaldon's series to read..and that is buring a hole in my..."pocket". But I have a library book to raedy before I can start on it.. Because I know if I start it.. I won't get the lib book read. *grin*
