I just finished History of Live by Nicole Krauss. It was a great book! (got it off the Today Show Book Club list). Right now I am reading Girls in Pants by Ann Brashares (third summer of the Sisterhood). I needed something for the summer.
Glad to see I'm not the only one juggling more than one book") I am about to finish with my light read romance "Touc of Magic by Theresa Meidros. Imagine a modern day man's surprise when a witch from Puritan New England traveling through time on her broom lands in his lap.
Then I have Isabelle Allande's "Zorro" which I finally requested from the library after gazing ar it longingly each time I got a book magazine. I can't wait to get into it further.
Then of course I have Nora Robert's "Homeport" which I'm reading for my local book club. And I just got two of Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper books from inner library loan. So I have at least 4 books that I have to read in the next 3 weeks:) Oh and I just picked up "Shopgirl" by Steve Martin on Books on Tape today for my drive next Friday.
As usual I've got my nose stuffed into the horror genre, I just finished up Richard Laymon's THE LAKE last night and will be starting RAGE by Steve Gerlach tonight.
OMG! I loved it!! I finished 'Watchers' and it was really awesome! What a cool book! I want to read more like that! Now I'm trying to read Jennifer Weiner's book, 'In Her Shoes'. I'm having a hard time getting into it. I think maybe I just don't care for her writing style. Anybody else read this book? Is it worth sticking with it?
In Her Shoes is on my list of To Be Read books, but I did have a hard time getting into Little Earthquakes and Good in Bed. I liked Good in Bed much better than Little Earthquakes (I was really disappointed in the ending of L.E. It seemed like it ended way too abruptly).
I just finished Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris (series of short stories). My brother recommended it. I liked the first story, I thought it was pretty funny (my sarcastic sense of humor), but I didn't really like the other stories in there (way too disturbing for me). Anyone else read anything of his? Is his other stuff any good? My brother is really urging me to try reading some of his other stuff, but if it's anything like this book, I think I'll pass.

Happy reading everyone:)
Maggie,
Let me know how you like Zorro...I have it on hold at my Library and I'm #1 on the list. Hopefully it will come in some time this week! ;)
