What's one book that was recommended or you discovered here at the ABC board that wasn't what you would normally read but surprisingly you enjoyed it? A different genre or author?
I'd like to thank the board for allowing me to discover Elizabeth Berg

I discovered Neil Gaimon. I loved Neverwhere and Stardust.

<Hi Joey ~
Gaiman's American Gods is our August group read here!
Blessed Are the Cheesemakers by Sara Kate Lynch. This was simply wonderful, and I know I never would have picked it up had it not been a group read here.

I have to agree with many of you! Elizabeth Berg, Neil Gaiman, Nick Hornby, Christopher Moore & Sarah-Kate Lynch. I enjoyed "Blessed are the Cheesemakers" so much. I have her next one "By Bread Alone" at home now - I think I'll be starting it as soon as I finish "Cross Bones" by kathy Reichs. Thanks for all the suggestions. There may be others, but I do get confused over which board I got them from: ABC, For Fiction Lovers & Mystery/Suspense. All I know is that my TBR list keeps getting longer! But I actually realized when taking my library books back the other day that not one of them was a mystery! I've definitely been taken out of my reading rut.
