I'm still reading Drowning Ruth, although I only have about 60 more pages to go (I should be done by the end of the week). I just finished Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris (series of short stories) but I didn't care for most of the stories in there. I liked the first one, but the rest of them were kind of boring or disturbing. It was a really fast read, though, I finished it in about an hour and a half.
I'm not sure which book I'll start next, maybe House of Sand and Fog? My mom recommended that one to me and said it was really good and I'd enjoy it. If I don't read that one, maybe I'll start In Her Shoes. We'll see....
Poisonwood Bible and I'm really liking it. I really need to set some time aside so I can dig in to the 500 + pages. Would like to have it done on or around the 15th.
This is the 3rd time I've picked it up to read and finally have decided to continue you on. I think the reason it was hard for me to get into initially was that this family with a Baptist preacher reminds me a little of my own at times. *shiver* lol
Finally got "Vanishing Acts" by Jodi Picoult, and I'm almost finished with it. Definitely a book that makes you think. I have "Morgue Momma, the Cross Kisses Back" up next, I think. But I see that I also have 4 books waiting for pick-up at the library, so it depends on when I pick those up, and if any of them are 7-day loans.
I finished Specimen Days by Michael Cunningham this past Saturday (kind of on the fence about this one...didn't love it, didn't hate it!). Then, I started The Probable Future by Alice Hoffman on Sunday and finished it Monday night (Loved it!...even if it was a little predictable).
Right now, I'm still plugging away at Sarum by Edward Rutherfurd.
Other than that, not much else! lol

PS. Still waiting for Zorro by Isabel Allende to come in off the hold list at my library. I'm also #1 in line for Women of the Silk by Gail Tsukiyama...can't wait for this one! :)
Well I see I'm not the only one not reading anything right now - I finished We Band of Angels by Eliz Norman last week & have been spending more time at the house so haven't gotten into another book

I was surprised today by an email from my library, saying that they had one of my requested books ready for pickup!
