Do you ever experience the overwhelming urge to read a book or author?

I'll always order a Tawni O'dell book before it is even out if I can. Christopher Moore is probably someone I would rush out and by his newest as soon as I could get my hands on it.

Now, every once in awhile I realize there is a book calling to me that I already have on my shelf and I have to interrupt any reading plans I have and just read it.

Yes, I got a notice that the last book in the Dark Tower series was in the library and even though I'm sure I won't finish listening to it in a month (it's huge and we'll be gone for a week (and dh won't want to listen to it)), I had to get it.

I've been reading Easrlene Fowler's Benni Harper series. Unfortunately my local library doesn't have them- so I have to request from other libraries. I try to coordinate so that the new one comes in just before I finish the one I'm reading on but they go so quickly I don't always make it- so now I'm waiting for the next one..... patience is not a virtue I have...sigh......

Good to know I'm not the only bookaholic who gets those cravings! And when the urge hits, GET OUTTA MY WAY! If it's not at the library then off to the bookstore. Lately, have been re-reading some favorite writers. Have gone through Steve Hamilton's Alex McKnight series. Now going through the Stephanie Plum series and Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper books. These cravings usually pop up when it feels like slim pickings and can't figure out who else I want to read after catching up on new stuff.
