I bought my books through Amazon this semester. I saved $11 off the university bookstore price on one ($125 on Amazon, $136 at the bookstore) and $5 off the other ($83 on Amazon, $88 at the bookstore). I went with overnight shipping because the semester starts on Wed and I wanted to have them to start reading over the weekend. So shipping ate up all my savings - but then the university bookstore didn't have the books in yet and didn't know for certain when they were coming, so I was in a bit of a pickle. If I could have waited 5-9 business days, then the shipping would have been free.

I use www.campusi.com. It's a great site that provides an interface to search over 40 different on-line bookstores. Most of the time I usually end up saving at least 50% off the bookstore price.
