For some reason, I haven't read his books. I started to read 'East of Eden', but I set it aside while I was into something else and haven't gotten back to it. There are quite a few authors of classic books that I just haven't gotten into. I'm not sure why. In school, I enjoyed literature and when we read the classics,

Hi Teri,

I have only read "East of Eden" and I loved it so much I read it twice. I keep meaning to read others of his but haven't gotten around to it. I would like a couple recomendations. Sue

I vaguely recall reading Grapes of Wrath and can't say a lot about it. Think it was a school thing and might have had some attitude about "required" reading or something.


I do have East of Eden and Winter of our Discontent on my TBR bookshelf.

I am about a third of the way through Grapes of Wrath and so far it is really excellent.
