The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants is my favorite for August. It was a really fun, touching book, and very enjoyable.

I haven't finished Grapes of Wrath yet, but so far it is really exellent and will more than likely edge out the Travelling Pants by the time I finish ;) I have a feeling that Grapes of Wrath is one of those books that is going to stick with me long after I have finished reading it.

Well, here I go...I can never narrow things down to just one or two. LOL! So here are my top three, I think (out of 15 so far):
"The Twelfth Card" the latest Lincoln Rhymes/Amelia Sachs by Jeffrey Deaver.
"Dead Run" a Monkee Wrench Gang book by P.J. Tracy
"The Secret History of the Pink Carnation" by Lauren Willig (lightweight, but fun)

well, august isnt over yet but I just finished "White Hot" by Sandra Brown and I loved it. It was a fast easy read great for summer on the beach or poolside. I liked it enough that I will look at this authors other books now. But now I have the hard task of deciding what to read next ... in my TBR pile is :
The Kite Runner
Little Earthquakes
Drowning Ruth
Wish You Well
The Known World
More Than You Know
Skinny Dip
Earthy Joys

I think I'm going to have to say The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsovler. It took me about 2 weeks to read but was well worth it. Powerful, fascinating read.
