Sheesh! I finished 'Summer's Child', by Luann Rice and now I just can't focus on what I want to read next. It isn't because I don't have some books here on my TBR pile. For some reason, I'm just stuck!

"In one of my earliest memories, my mother and I are on the front porch of our rented Carter Avenue house watching two delivery men carry our brand-new television set up the steps."

She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb.

Don't know if I like it or not. It's not bad, but it's kind of depressing. I probably should not have read it while pregnant - it's making me a tad emotional (but then so do diaper commercials).

"Konrad insisted that everyone be at his desk by 7:45 a.m., no exceptions."

My sentence is from this great book I'm reading called "The Ivy Chronicles", by Karen Quinn.

Hi Michelle. I read this last spring and really enjoyed it. I also thought it was along the same lines as The Nanny Diaries. It was very amusing.

"Even if she hadn't been the last person to walk through the turnstile at Warren Street Tube station, Jack Barker would have noticed the tall, slender woman in the navy blue, thigh-length jacket with a matching pleated skirt short enough to reveal a well-turned ankle."
"Maisie Dobbs" by Jacqueline Winspear

(more interesting than that 1st sentence might suggest)
