Library Month.

Let's spend this month honoring and celebrating our local libraries. If you haven't been to your in a long time then your challenge this month is to find the time to grace the doors of the nearest to you. If you have been to the library try browsing in a section you might not have visited or haven't visited in a lng time.

When was the last time you were in a library?

I was just in the library Monday night. I'm there at least once a week. Some of the librarians even know my kids by name.

I guess the section of the library that I visit the least is nonfiction. Every once in a while I'll grab a cookbook out of there but that's about it.

To celebrate Library Month I plan on going to the library without the kids to really browse through the nonfiction section.

In hearing the statistic of a vast majority of people having not visited a library in the past 10 years, I felt really ashamed of myself.

Just yesterday I stopped by the library and checked out their Sale Shelves, I found a hardcover of Graham Masterton's Master of Lies and some joke books for my dds.

I was in the library yesterday. This time it was to make a copy, not get a book. Monday I got a book out from the library.

I'm in one right now. After getting off work at WalMart it was so nice to come into this haven of peace and quiet at the library. Could feel the stress slither right off my shoulders and every muscle in my being (including the one in my noggin!) relaxing. While waiting to get online here in the media room, I ambled over to the new book section and found four books of interest - '1776' by David McCullough, 'Wanted Man' by Tamsin Spargo, 'Little Chapel on the River' by Gwendolyn Bounds, and 'Love Her to Death' by Linda Palmer. Ok, 'Wanted Man' is actually for my younger brother who is an Old West history buff. While wandering the library this evening I saw how comfortable other patrons were just reading, students browsing for homework material, new students of ESL signing up and eager to learn, giggles from the childrens' book section. Is this heaven or what?

It's been quite a while since I've been. I've actually purchased books instead of checking them out as I usually do. I have several books that I am taking to donate to the library, so I will be going soon. Gae

I was there at our local library just a few days ago to return some books. As it always happens, I go to get one or two books, and return with a lot more!!!! :-) I find it easier to get books from the library, and if I really like it and want for my collection, I buy it later. Am glad it is just about 10 minutes away from my place, so visiting it is a breeze.
