Q of Wk: * Work * & Pleasure Reading?

In observance of Labor Day, let's talk about *work* -- does it ever intersect with your pleasure reading?
Can you read (for pleasure) on the job (other than breaks/lunch)?

I have one of the best jobs on the planet. I do get quite a lot of time to read for pleasure at my job. I actually carry a book bag with me to work that has all my reading parafenalia. Reading journal, current pleasure book, non-fiction book, and then the next book I plan to read if I'm about done with the current.
I find it's nice to carry this bag where ever I go. Comes in

**No
Do you trade books with co-workers, or discuss books with other readers at your place of employment?
**Yes, I've often done traded book with co-workers over the years. My current supervisor belongs to a book club, so we often talk about the books they are reading, along with other books we both enjoy. She's one of the many people I've "turned on" to Janet Evanovich's books. And one evening recently we were both here until almost 6:00 (we get off at 5:30) discussing the latest Harry Potter.
Anyone ever been lucky enough to have an informal bookshelf for pleasure reading where you earn your living?
**yes, although there is not one here currently.

In observance of Labor Day, let's talk about *work* -- does it ever intersect with your pleasure reading? HEY! Work ALWAYS gets in the way of reading! LOL! Actually, the way it intersects with me is that our store has a book section and it's very easy to go browsing and/or buy. So I really have to watch the temptation.

Not enough time on breaks because I'd have to walk all the way back to the end of the store to my locker, get the book out and maybe have 5 mins...hmm, maybe that wouldn't be too bad. And I don't trade but doesn't mean it won't come up.
Anyone ever been lucky enough to have an informal bookshelf for pleasure reading where you earn your living? Yes, there were some places and it was fun because it allowed me to come across new writers. Plus if we took one book there was always one I could replace it with.
