I look through the books at the grocery store every once in a while. Since I don't like to buy books I usually will write down the title and then look for it at the library.
I happened to see some Dennis LeHanes I had been looking for at Wal-Mart and went ahead and bought them. I was trying to get to them eventually through bookcrossings at the time but there they were and couldn't help myself. They were only $5.99 better than the book store anyway.
I generally don't. I am definitely the hunter type rather than the gatherer type - I go in with my list, buy everything on it, and barely look at anything else. The only time I stray from the list is if I see something good while I am looking for something on the list. I never even go down the aisle with the books because I never need anything else in that aisle. I am kind of a focused shopper - LOL.
I usually have my child with me when I shop, so we're pretty focused. we only have a limited amount of time before he starts throwing fits and grabbing at stuff off the shelves (ah, the joys of being 2). I end up power shopping, so I have no time to browse for anything. If I do manage to get to the store alone, I always forget that they stock things like books.
I do! Can't help it! Ok, maybe not every time, but if I just happen to be going by there, why not? Even if I don't buy a book it satisfies that inner urge, ya know? The last one I bought was last week; a Silouette Bombshell romance by Rachel Caine. Sometimes it's fun to read something light.
