Hi Guili ~

Reading Lolita in Tehran was a group read here in April or May ... if you'd like to see the discussion, just type in that title in the 'find messages about' box in the upper left.

The book Where The Heart Is is much better than the movie. I was very disappointed in the movie. Which I know that is typical but I just loved this book sooooo much.

I'm reading The Secret Life of Bees and have about 50 pages left. I am loving it! Can't believe I waited so long to read it. I'm sure most of you have already read it so I'll spare you the synopsis.

I'm flying through Where the Heart Is. I'm really liking it. Have you read The Honk and Holler Opening Soon? I was just wondering if it was as good as this book.

Yep, Honk and Holler is just as good. Her newest is Shoot the Moon but I just didn't like it as well as the first 2.

Oh good, I'll add the Honk and Holler to my growing list of needed books. Thanks!

I think I'm going to go broke from buying all the books that have been recommended here :).

I finally finished The Historian, which I really enjoyed and have just started a new book. It's Fool's Puzzle by Earlene Fowler, the first in her Benni Harper series. It's sort of a cozy. Benni is running a Folk Art museum in California and finds one of the co-op artists murdered. Apparently she decides to get involved instead of letting the police handle it. I'm really enjoying it so far, and will definitely continue with the series. Gae

Thank goodness they caught it before it dislodged from your leg. I hope you're feeling much better and continue to heal. On the bright side, you do have a good excuse for lots of reading!! Please take care!! Gae

I also really liked HOnk and Holler. I think Where the Heart Is is better, but Honk and Holler was wonderful. It was also filled with wonderful, warm, quirky characters. They're both great books.
