I have to admit that I have been a couch potato every night this week. Sunday it was the Emmy's. Monday night was Surface and The Biggest Loser. Tuesday was Dancing With The Stars, How I Met your Mother, Two and a Half Men, and Big Brother (thank goodness for DVR's). Last night was Lost, Invasion, and So You Think You Can Dance. Tonight will be Reunion and ER. I'm not sure about tomorrow or Saturday night. Sunday will be Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Housewives, and Grey's Anatomy.
I'm sure after a few weeks I'll get bored with some of these shows and go back to reading. It's been a few years since there was something on every night that I wanted to watch.
I really haven't been. I didn't even watch the whole first episode of Survivor last week. I do peek and see if anything catches my interest but so far nothing really has. We recorded Surface and hope I'll watch it somtime in the furture. I was kind of interested in Invasion but missed it. Right now the only show I'll try to catch regularly is the Biggest Loser.
I will be recording CSI Las Vegas tonight. I've given up on the other 2 spin offs. I can't stand CSI NY (too bad, I love Gary Sinise) and I tried to watch CSI Miami on Monday (I like David Caruso too) but after that premier episode, I just can't hang with it anymore. Other than that, there aren't too many shows I watch. I love Dirty Jobs on Discovery and Going Tribal is pretty interesting as well, but lately they've been repeats. I guess I'm kind of a nerd because my favorite channels are Discovery, TLC and Court TV. My latest guilty pleasure? Parco PI. He cracks me up!
I haven't given up books for TV, but then most of my reading is done on the train during my morning commute. I tried to take a break after reading the Kite Runner, but I just can't help myself. My books sit on the shelf and scream at me to read them. I'm an addict. I admit it and that's the first step to recovery.
So far the only show I really like is Gilmore Girls and right now i'm very frustrated with it.I'll give two more episodes before i may give up entirely.I also watch extreme home makeovers.
I am reading less because my semester started and I have less time. The new shows are a welcome thing though because a lot of times between work and school, the last thing I want to do when I get some time is to focus on small text - LOL. Having something to watch on TV is nice.
I regularly watch ER, Survivor, Amazing Race, Crossing Jordan, Law and Order, George Lopez, and Mind of Mencia.
