I'm still reading In Her Shoes. I'm about halfway done, so hopefully by the end of this week I can start something new. I'm not sure what I'll pick up next, but I still have time to decide.
Well, over the weekend, I finished "Missing Justice" by Alafair Burke & "Julie & Romeo get Lucky" by Jeanne RAy. Stayed up late last night finishing "4th of July" by James Patterson. Right now I'm reading "Nobody but You" by Julie Kenner - just a light read. Next up is "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden.
"Borrego, New Mexico. A peaceful little desert town. Except for one thing. Somebody here hates teenagers. Hates them. These troublemakers, these rebels, have to be controlled. Silenced. Forever. Now he has discovered an insidious way to strike back at them. In their sleep. In their waking hours. Anytime. He is a madman with terrifying powers. And soon, he will draw Borrego's children beyond the brink of night..."
I'm about a hundred pages in and so far nothing too exciting has happened. I'll read some more of it but if it doesn't get any more interesting I'll have to move onto another "scary" read.
I just finished In Her Shoes. My mom has asked that I read one of the books I borrowed from her so she can return it to her friend. Looks like my next read will be Amazing Gracie - A Dog's Tale by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff.
I actually did like In Her Shoes and am hoping to go see it before the baby arrives. I was put on leave starting Tuesday. It's been nice staying home and being able to get some last minute stuff done while my other child is at daycare. I'm due on the 18th of November, but everyone (including the doctors) are thinking I'll deliver AT LEAST a week earlier. I wouldn't mind, according to my calculations, the 11th is more accurate anyway. My DH is joking that it will have to be the 11th, that way we'll have a Patriot's Day baby and a Veteran's Day baby. We are expecting our second boy and have already decided on the name Jayden Alexander. I feel enormous, but considering I have just over 3 weeks to go, I guess that's normal. :)
The book is about a deaf and partially blind albino Great Dane. It was a recommendation from my mom. I can't tell if it's fiction, or more like a biography. The dust jacket shows a picture of the two authors and theitr 3 dogs and it says that they founded the first bakery for dogs. Maybe it's true? It kind of sounds like it. It looks like it will go pretty quickly, but I'm nervous. My mom says it's pretty sad at moments and with my pregnancy hormones, I'll probably end up embarrassing myself by crying. At least I'm not taking the train to work anymore. :)
I am loving the weather up here, how about you? It was 75 degrees today - absolutely PERFECT!!!
