Book World has taken me alien-spacecraft chasing to Easter Island off the Chilean coast, and to the Great Sphinx (in secret underground tunnels) in Egypt!

First of all, I love your picture!!!!!!!! It is now 1893 and I am in Chicago at the opening of "The World's Fair". I am keeping company with architects, dignataries and a serial killers. All in Erik Larson's "The Devil in White City".

I am in Tudor England, late 1500's, Elizabeth I is Queen of England. I've been here for awhile... not in any hurry to leave!

I am in early 1900's Japan, at the beginning of "Memoirs of a Geisha". Finally quit putting it off & so far it's quite good.

Kim - right now I'm reading the Life of Elizabeth I by Alison Weir. I became interested in reading about the Tudors after reading Phillipa Gregory's three Tudor novels, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Queen's Fool and The Virgin's Lover. She has a new novel due in December called The Constant Princess that I am really looking forward to. Jean Plaidy and Margeret George are other historical fiction writers that I haven't read yet but would like to. Alison Weir has a couple other books about the Tudors that I'd like to read also. What have you read?

I haven't gone far at all...my book is set in the present, 15 or 20 minutes from Gettysburg (which is about 3 hours east of here)
