I just finished two short books, a non-f "On the Run: A Mafia Childhood" by two now-adults who grew up in the Witness Protection Program.

Just started The Kitchen Witch Sunday. Seems like it will be a fun, light read. Thanks Teri for sharing!

I just finished In God We trust all others pay cash by Jean Shepard
I don't want to say anything since I know others on the board might be
reading it now too.

One of my current reads is Where the Heart is by Billie Letts. It is a very lite story
right now with a great cast of characters.

My Christmas decorating lasted about 2 minutes so I can spend more time reading this holiday season! k

I've started Christmas shopping and making that list and it'll all get done. The decorating part has barely begun but that's no problem either. And I keep up with reading (which is all over the map again): T. David Bunn's 'The Lazarus Trap' (a nifty mystery with a man who has no memory involved in embezzlement and murder); re-reading Tim Cockey's Hitchcock Sewell series (it's terrific mystery writing and funny as heck, too!); also reading a Harlequin Christmas book by Judy Christenberry titled 'Cowboy Santa'.

Picked up Predator (Patricia Cornwell's newest), Life Expectancies by Koontz, and S Is For Silence at Target the other day.

Also made a library stop on Sunday and came home with: True Believer by Nicholas Sparks (of The Notebook fame), the new Lisa Scottoline, Janette Oke's Love Comes Softly, Widow Of The South, Zipporah Wife Of Moses by Marek Halter (the second of his Canaan trilogy), Orson Scott Card's third Women Of Genesis book called Rachel And Leah, Marion Zimmer Bradley's Ancestors Of Avalon, and three David Gemmell books (Stormrider, White Wolf, and The Swords Of Night And Day.)

So far I've finished the Oke book and am working on True Believer now. Next up after that is Scottoline and then Widow. After that we'll see.

I'm just starting a new Dean Koontz called, 'From the Corner of His Eye'. So far it is keeping me on the edge of my seat. I'm not really one to read holiday themed literature, but last year I did read, 'Skipping Christmas', a book made into a TV movie called, 'Christmas with the Kranks'. It was really a fun

I'm still reading The Autobiography of Santa Claus. It's taking forever but it keeps taking a backseat to other books. I'm also reading Hard Eight by Janet Evanovich. After this one I'm all caught up with Stephanie Plum, sniff, sniff.

Christmas prep isn't taking away any reading time. I'm almost all ready for Christmas. Just need to do some wrapping and by a giftcard. Of course I'm also going to have to pack since we're going away but I can't do that now. I need to stock up on some books for the 14 hour car ride. Suggestions??
