Which authors' names confuse you, and why?

Mary Higgins Clark and her daughter Carol Higgins Clark. Mary is one of my favorite authors so I will get so excited when I see a new book of hers and then I am so disappointed when I realize it isn't her's but her daughters.

I don't know if I can say I get mixed up with this author but I usually can never remember Nicholas Sparks and I get him and James Patterson mixed together..... more like it'll take me a while longer to remember NS than JP.

Don't feel alone- that was who came to mind when I read the question. I am so used to James Patterson as mystery/thriller that I forget he writes sappy stuff too. So I find myself looking for "Sam's Letters to Jennifer" under Nicholas Sparks at the bookstore.

I sometimes have to stop and think if it's Nicholas Sparks or Nicholas Evans.

That's the book I get mixed up with and always thinks it's Nicholas Sparks and surprised when it's James Patterson.

Strictly in terms of the names (not the content/genre), I mix up Nicholas Evans and Nicholas Sparks, and also Richard North Patterson and James Patterson.

Hi Mary ~

Hilma Wolitzer and Meg Wolitzer, who are mother and daughter, respectively.

Those are two author names we've not seen mentioned here on ABC before.

Hi Teri,

Both Wolitzers write relationship-type novels.
