It's another new month..... how are your yearly, weekly, or maybe even monthly goals going? Are the TBR piles getting any smaller??? How about telling us one book that's on your must read this month list?

In the Company of Cheerful Ladies, # ?? in the Alex. McCall Smith No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series, was just as warm and enjoyable as previous books set in Botswana.

I try not to make weekly, monthly or yearly goals, because I'm sure I would just end up being disappointed with not having read as much as I'd wished I had. I have been so busy lately, I haven't had time to read, except for my breaks and lunch at work. But, I try to get in reading when I can. I just started "Eldest" today. It is the second in the Trilogy Inheritance by Christopher Paolini. A science fiction read, which is highly unusual for me, but I really enjoyed reading "Eragon". Can't wait to see how it turns out. I love reading her stories too. I love Hannah, she's a great character! Enjoy them and the recipes. I have never tried to make one of the recipes, but they sound really yummy! Gae

My goal for the month is to read at least 2 new authors and 1 current favorite. We'll see how well I get that done. LOL!. The next book on my list to read is by a favorite author of mine and is the Ya-yas in Bloom. I checked this out from the library this past week and hope to start reading it tonight once I finish the last 2 chapters of Oh, My Stars by Lorna Landvik (also a favorite author of mine)

I have not been reading as much as I want to. I had planned to get a few books on my TBR list read already but that hasn't happened. Right now I'm reading Bolitar's Game, an omnibus by Harlan Coben. This is one that's been sitting on my shelf for months now so my goal is to be finished with it by next week. Let's see if that happens!

I went to the local village library today to get a couple sci-fi books. The Sci-Fi section there is woefully small but I did manage to get two sci-fi books.
I'm going to be reading:
1632 by Eric Flint
Tales From The Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin
Book 4 of the Unfortunate Events Series by Lemony Snicket
Dear Zoe, by Philip Beard
Lulu Dark Can See Through Walls by Bennett Madison.

I'll finish No Place Like Home (Mary Higgins Clark - great book!) this week and get back to Final Jeopardy by Linda Fairstein this week, too.
