This week i'm starting Through the Grinder by Cleo Coyle which is a coffeehouse mystery.I wish my library had the first one but they don't.I also got George Carlin's latest book for something light and funny.I love him he just cracks me up.Then if i have time a book of short stories by Neil Gaiman.
I finished up Ya-Yas in Bloom this past weekend. I liked the book. I had heard others who didn't like it much. I have read the other two and REALLY loved the first one and definantly did not like this newest one as much as that, but I did like it. And it was a quick fun read. I have now started reading Memoirs of a Geisha. I'm only on chapter two so I don't have too much of an opinion yet, but so far so good. And of course I am still reading my way through the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I love the overall story line of these books, but tend to get lost in the details if I am even the least bit tired or distracted.
I am still currently reading Eldest by Christopher Paolini, the second in the Inheritance Trilogy. Am enjoying it, but don't have enough time to read!! Gae
I finished The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse by Robert Rankin. It wasn't what I expected, but I liked it. It took me a little while to get used to his writing style, but after I did, it went really fast.
I think this week I'll start Dearly Devoted Dexter. I liked the first book, and have heard good things about this one. I will probaby get to it tomorrow during my train ride into work.
I just finished listening to The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, finished reading The Peach Cobbler Murder (Joanne Fluke) and started While My Pretty One Sleeps (Mary Higgins Clark). Fluke books are always good and I'm looking forward to trying a couple of the recipes in this one.
Just read a couple of "cozy" mysteries: "Death by Inferior Design" by Leslie Caine & "Body of Intuition" by Claire Daniels (who previously wrote another series I liked under the name Jacqueline Girdner). I'm not concentrating too well lately, so am doing more short, quick books. But I'm currently reading "Talk Before Sleep" which is short, but not exactly a light read. Good though, so far.
