How frequently do you go?

Our library has the main branch (Schaumburg, supposed to be one of the ten best in the country) and two branches (Hoffman Estates, where I live, and Hanover Park). I like to go to the main library, as it has a WAY bigger and better selection. I usually go about every two-three weeks, whenever I finish all the books I got out the LAST time I went; I return them and get more. (I don't have any left to return....right now I'm finishing up the stack I got from Amazon a week and a half ago.)

How long books circulate depend on which category you get. Older books from the stacks you can keep three weeks and renew online. Browsing best sellers usually are two weeks, and I believe you can renew those online as well. Brand new books that everybody wants and that you usually have to wait forever on a waiting list to get are only 7 days; they are NOT renewable.

The fine isn't a very big one. Can't remember what exactly it is, though. I haven't had overdue charges in awhile, as I tend to be rather anal about returning books on time. Often, once they're finished, I even return them early so as to AVOID possibly forgetting and having them overdue. A couple of times one of the dds has snagged a book from my pile without telling me, and then it's been overdue until I realize they have it and nag to get it back; I think the maximum overdue fine I've ever paid has been around forty cents or so.

One of the 10 best no wonder i can't seem to get a job there.I love the place and am there constantly.I love the summer concerts they have in the park across the street. If you don't mind me asking where abouts are you located? I actually haven't been to the other branches how are they? Can you use the Schaumburg card? Jessica just loves to go and play with the train set they have set up there.

I'm actually up in Hoffman Estates about four blocks from Hoffman Estates High School (as well as the police station, LOL.) You can use the card at any of the branches; I've been to both the Hoffman Estates branch and the main Schaumburg Library. Never been to the Hanover Park branch, though.

If Jessica likes the train, she'd love the clock in the pediatrician's office I work at. When you push a button on the side of it, a train goes choo-chooing all around the rim of the clock :)

I would like to go every week, but I am usually there about once a month. I check out entirely too many books and then force myself not to visit again until I read at least some of them. Last time I was there was the end of March so I am about ready for another book. Initially books are checked out for 2 weeks, but you can renew them as often as you like as long as you do it on or before the due date and nobody else has placed a hold on them. I'm really not sure what the fine is cause like I said they are very generous with their renewal policy, but I think the last time I noticed it was 15 cents a day for books and $1.50 for Movies. Now movies are only checked out for 3 days and you can only renew them twice.

I live out in a rural area, and the actual library for my address is a little rinky dink thing.
