urgh.... i gave up on two books last week. The Alphabet Sisters and last night I gave in and put down The Thin Place by Kathryn Davis... has anyone read this? I though it was horrible. I was confused by page ten. I tried to follow it, but it was just too jumpy and scattered. Its a shame because I was really looking forward to it.
I picked up Green Grass Grace by Shawn Mcbride last night and it's really good. (but man, does the boy in this story have a filthy mouth!) Its set in Philly which is close by and I can just hear the accents and see the characters clear as day. I think it may get me out of my reading funk!
I'm currently reading "The Memoirs of Helen of Troy" by Amanda Eylot (fiction) and a contemporary romance titled "Full Scoop" by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes.
I just started reading My Year of Meats by Ruth L. Ozeki. I just started it Saturday evening and haven't had much time to read since so I am still on the second chapter so can't really give an opinion of it just yet. I am also still working my way through the Lord of the Rings trilogy. That reading has been abit slow going, but I am really getting involved in the story now so perhaps it will move faster from here on out.
