Last Week, my to-do list included:

1) Continue to nag DH to work on the switch in the basement === still nagging and he still doesn't see it as a priority

2) Stamping demo Tuesday Night = Mary is back in Wyoming as her mother is worse and in the hospital on a DNR; and snow is predicted for Tuesday on top of this past weekend's 3" of drifting snow, so Janice and I decided to pass on this week. === the demo was cancelled anyway due to a foot of blowing snow!

3) Stitchery: work on my new embroidery piece and get up the courage to piece the fabric for guild challenge, a "row of the month" mystery quilt. === still stitching, and more fabric is cut but still no quilt piecing.

4) Housecleaner comes on Wednesday === she cancelled too, and rightly so as the roads were impassable here.

5) Haircut on Wednesday === cancelled or the same reason: roads were impassable

6) Pick up prescription refills on Wednesday === got them on Thursday intend.

7) Well Woman exam on Thursday === DONE, and told to increase my Ca++ and Vitamin D dosage (my dexa we s clean but while I gained bone in some locations, I thinned in other.) Need to call the lab in two weeks for Pap smear results.

8) Black Swamp Quilt Guild meeting === DONE

9) Bills, computer records for finances, and continue working on the tax prep documents …) === all DONE

and wait for that painter??? === wonder if DH ever ASKS about him…

No specific Valentine's day plans here... but we did go out to dinner last night: Chinese restaurant instead, for Chinese New Year. (Funny thing: four Chinese restaurants in this small town with no Chinese residents! TWO were closed last night even though one had been advertising Chinese New Year dinners! A third had recently received 14!!! CRITICAL citations and 4 minor woes from public health, which made the front page of the local paper --- so no way we were going there! So we ended up at the fourth, a buffet which doesn't even provide chopsticks! Oh well…)

So this week, there isn't really a whole lot on my plate:

1) Continue to nag DH to work on the switch in the basement

2) Stamping demo Tuesday Night

3) Stitchery: work on my new embroidery piece and get up the courage to piece the fabric for guild challenge, a "row of the month" mystery quilt.

4) Housecleaner comes on Wednesday

5) Bills, computer records for finances, and continue working on the tax prep documents …)

Guess I should call the hairdresser and reschedule, eh?

Quilt blocks for wall hanging are assembled, now I need help attaching the binding. BUT - it is put aside while I get ready to travel to FL early Thurs. It's a busy week -

Monday - setting out fold clothes on my sewing table to decide what to take with me. It's easy to stack folded clothes in mix & match piles, then narrow down to what I really want to take. This will help me to decide what size suitcase to pack.

Tuesday - Curves workout early, tutoring mid day, bank & library errands afterward. Got to DSs house in evening to watch DGrDs while parents go to meetings.

Weds. - prep final wardrobe for trip, pack, and hope I haven't forgotten anything.

Thurs - fly to FL. Back Sat 2/27.

BTW - my SIL in FL is an expert knitter, so am going to ask her for serious instruction. I want to knit a blanket in squares for the new baby arriving in June - want it to look like a quilt.

My goodness, only two weeks of "holiday" left? So what are your courses this next term?

And good luck with the pain specialist...

Mainly focusing on the courses that I need to complete my two majors this year. This semester I'll be doing 'Power and Policies in the European Union' and 'Cabinet Government'. In case its not obvious from the course names, I'm working through a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations.

I'm impressed. Will you be going into politics? Can I expect to see a pannergal as a Prime Minister of NZ?

At this stage, I'm not sure what I'll do with the degree - but I probably won't go into politics.
