Visit me at That Yank In... and Traveling with That Yank
The only issue is the corners aren't as neat as I would have liked. The purchased ruffle with the bias binding was a pain, but we live & learn. I bought that ruffle some time before I acquired the ruffler foot and felt I just had to use it up. Quilt is in the dryer now, I'm curious to see how it feels because I used a fusible batting which gave a rather stiff feel.
This was one of those time when procrastination paid off. I had the first 2 panels sewn and put the quilt aside when the embroidery machine arrived. After I purchased a few designs, I realized I could use them to hold the layers together.
It washed up soft & a bit wrinkly, just fine. DGrD said it would be perfect for those summer outings where you want to lay the baby down and want something more substantial than a light blanket. The underside does not have ruffles, so that will be comfy for her. Now the countdown begins - 4 weeks to go.
