Just finished "Dead Dry" by Sarah Andrews which features Em Hansen, a forensic geologist. The "mystery" part of it was good, but even more interesting, especially living in the West, was all the info about water conditions, the auqifer & geology in general. Interesting & a bit scary. It's a good series if you like to learn a little something with your mysteries (besides ways of bumping someone off) She's speaking at a Friends of the Library meeting on the 24th & I was looking forward to going. But It turns out that SIL's wedding is at 11:00 & she's speaking at 1:30....think I'll be missing her talk. Oh well - she's local, so maybe another time.

Sounds great, I love science - I've requested this from the lib.
Hi Yvette ~
Is The Breakdown Lane Ms. Mitchard's latest?

I have read all the Jacqelyn Mitchard books-I think the one I just read is my favourite, it is her latest book.
I have now finished Falling Angels-the only other one I have read of hers is Girl With A Pearl Earring which I loved and I will definitely read her others soon. I love the "feel" of her books.
