hello hello i just posted at stitchers niche i need all the help i can get lol.i am trying to make an afghan with the loops, i use a small ruler to wrap the yarn around for the loops but they are not secure and are coming out.i'm not a good crocheter but try.thank you all for any help!! have a great day bye for now, kateyes

Hi and welcome!

I'm not 100% sure about what you mean, but here are is a pattern I found containing a loop stitch:


THis one says:


Step 1 Using the index finger on the left hand to control the lp size (which should be approximately 1½"), hold yarn over finger 1½" behind work; insert the hook in st, hook both strands of lp just made, draw these strands through st.

Step 2 Wrap the supply yarn over the hook (yo).

Step 3 Draw through all lps on hook-1 lp st made
