Does anyone have the new Knit It! magazine? If anyone does, I have some questions on a pattern in there.(Specifically the fisherman's shrug) Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Karen

Sorry for the late reply
Aww, I have pretty much given up on the shrug. I found corrections on a knitting blog and they are far too complex for me to understand. I'm bummed out now because I have the wool and the back done and will probably never be able to complete the rest.
There were about 5 pages of corrections for this pattern, and I was told that magazine patterns often have alot of errors in them.
So.... any ideas what to do with 6 balls of Chunky Wool Ease? :)

Just after I posted the last message I found corrections on the lion brand website. The link is below if any one is interested.

Yes. There are TONS of knitting magazines. I find it hard most of the time tho to find Crochet magazines. Occasionally tho, I might find a crochet pattern I like in a knitting magazine. I am waiting right now tho for a book that explains the knitting patterns that can convert to a crochet pattern. ITs called

It been awhile since I have read the book but you might want to try "From knit to crochet : how to get the look and feel of knitting with crochet" by Matela, Bobbie.

you could undo what you have already done or take it to a knit shop .. there's one local to our community that will finish have completed work.

Or you could look up a pattern that would be easier to understand. Try the www.lionbrandyarn.com and look for a shawl or sweater pattern ..

Lastly, if you're having trouble with the shrug pattern itself .. I haven't made it up so I don't yet know the trouble .. but, I'd be glad to talk with you about it...

email me at kbobic@iglide.net if you're interested!

Good luck .. I know how frustrating it can be when a pattern doesn't work out! .....don't give up;)

Thank you. I'm not sure what I'll do with it yet. I'm not 'versed' enough in the knitting yet to figure it out by myself, so thank you for the offer of help.
This shrug is actually on the lion brand website. I guess that Knit It! magazine is really a magazine promoting lionbrand yarn.
Anyway, I'll let you know what I plan to do. I have problems with a sock right now. sigh.
