J's come along nicely, but it will always be a work in progress as men do seem to

I so agree, both need to do their equal share! One thing that irks me is when people praise men for "helping the women with their chores"! What?!! I used to tell my last husband that this is not MY house, it is OUR house and if he didn't do his equal share of caring for OUR house, then I don't want

He's good at keeping me happy too...as long as he does things my way..LOL!! Once he got that figured out, things began to go very smoothly around here. He learned early on that I'm relentless! LOL

KWYM about ironing! I have no sons, but my two DD's were raised to iron anything that is wrinkled before putting it on. They did well until they got out on their own. Now, one DD still irons, while the other is hit and miss. Makes me crazy!! This sloppy generation is puzzling.

Good for you in training your boys how to NOT depend on a woman to "take care of them"! It makes them self sufficient and lends to a better marriage relationship too.

LMBO!!! Yep, I'm good at giving orders!! I almost listed that too..LOL!! Oh, wait a minute, not giving orders...being a supervisor...making suggestions...giving guidance...you know, soft soaping stuff like that..LOL!!!

Funny story....When J and I were dating, he tried to get me to go along with this "unconditional love" thing! His thought was that after we were married, no matter what he did or said, I shouldn't get mad at him out of unconditional love. LMBO!!! I told him that that would never happen!! If he messed up, he would hear about it from me loud and clear!! And, furthermore, if he didn't discontinue messing up; he could find a new place to live!! He tried a couple more times to convince me that this is the way it should be. He lost that one big time!! LOL!!!
