Can you remember the last time you stayed up all night?
I bet we all did it at one time or another

Lately I've been doing it quite a bit it seems. Last summer my troubled 18 year old stepson moved in with us and just this past weekend I stayed up most of the night on Sat and Sun waiting for him to come home. Both nights it was 3:30 in the morning and by then I was so wound up I couldn't sleep for a couple hours after that. Then I had to get up bright and early to take care of my youngsters.

I know this isn't what you had in mind when you posted your question. I'm still reeling.

LOL, I have had nights of little sleep, but it's been a while since I stayed up all night.

I guess when we fly to Switz. I don't sleep on the plane and we fly through the night ...does that count?

:o)

Hi Jo,
Sure staying up all night on the plane counts or will when you do :)

Wow, Mary! Sounds tough. How come you don't have any authority over him? Where is his dad when he comes in at 3:30?

i guess that would be a few months ago. ds was out with his friends and they were late.i stayed up all night waiting.the driver was drunk and wouldnt let anyone else drive his car.so all the kids were stuck 1.5 hours away. some of them had to work the next day too.
needless to say my sone doesnt travel with him anymore. yes i am glad he didnt drive them. but when he asked ds to go he told them they would all be home by midnight.what the H was he doing driving if he was going to drink.

His dad was sound asleep! How come I have no authority? It's hard to tell ANY 18 year old what they can and can't do. Even harder when you're not the bio parent. When my little ones are 18 they'll have tough consequences if they try staying out all night. (Having driving priviledges revoked could be a big incentive to get home on time!) This is only temporary. Right?!?
