Treated like queens? You've been reading way too many romance novels! Women were mere chattel, property to be traded then. The only women who were treated like queens were the women of royal families, and even then quite a few were still traded like cows and horses. Royal marriages were nothing more than forging new contracts. Other women of gain were the prioresses of convents. Sorry, but I wouldn't give up a man in my life just to own a bit of property :+)

Yes I would love to go back in time to experience things, but I sure as H*LL wouldn't want to stay there!

Sorry to stomp on your illusions. :=(

I would go back to around 1880 to 1920. I love the idea of the industrial revolution. I also would want to work with Ms Stanton and Ms. Susan Browne Anthony. Okay I'm feministic just a tiny bit!

I couldn't resist the 20's, the speakeasies, the nifty hair, stockings and garters! The flapper dresses would look completely ridiculous on me as I'm not flat chested in the least, but I would definately choose to live among the upper class, Gatsby style.

Hmmmm... this is a great question. I would love to go back to the late 1800 to early 1900 (Victorian Period). It was dirty (meaning no deotarant, bathrooms were outhouses - unless you were rich, etc.) and hard living, but oh so interesting. I love reading books (true or fiction) about this life. When you read about it it SEEMS so simple, everything had their own special place, you shopped for what you ate that day, people called on you by knocking on your door or mailing you a letter - people were much more patient. I am part of the "I want it now" generation and sometimes my impatience annoys me.

I'd like a brief visit to talk to Cady Stanton & SB Anthony, but I wouldn't want to live there! All those layers of clothes, all that hard work the women did around the house. And if, like me, you didn't want to get married, you were dependent on your brother or male relatives. Ugh!!

I might go back to the 1960s. But, BTDT. LOL. At least it was a simpler, slower time. And interesting. ;o)
