TGIF  :)
Will yours be sunny or stormy?
What do you have planned to do this weekend?
Will it be fun filled, work filled or kicking back  for some needed R&R?

Hi Hugs,

I hope it's okay if I go first as you're all asleep. I've already done a sign-in thread in the folder below so that will help to explain who I am. :o)

This weekend we're trying to get Jo's flat painted. She just bought it and is hoping to move in in the first week in July but the decor leaves a lot to be desired.

Douglas (dh) is painting one room from red and gold - yuck - to magnolia. He's on his 4th coat so far.

Jo is painting her bedroom from bright blue to white. She's on her 2nd coat and it will need at least one more, if not two.

I have a couch and armchair to re-cover for her and a couple of roman blinds to make, too. So all in all we're going to be busy.

The weather? We live in Scotland so it'll probably be raining - it is at the moment - again! :o)

Hi Anne,
Glad you did go first!
Sounds like a busy weekend decorating and painting for everyone.
Many coats to cover up the older colors it seems.
Too bad on that weather though.
Hopefully it will stop long enough for you to get out a bit.
Maybe take a wak
Remember to have some relaxing time for you as well .. a *must* do

Hey Anne! What are Roman blinds, & how do you make them?

It may be too late for this hint, but did you use primer paint first? That covers better & lessens the need for more coats. :o)

I'm driving up to Nancy's after work (3 hours away). Tomorrow we're going to a quaint Victorian town to see a folksinger we like. We'll go early & *do* the town. Lots of art galleries, etc. Then after the concert there's an art opening for his son's photography at a gallery. I'll stay at Nancy's, &the next day we're going to a play at the very old cemetery where her dad is buried. (yes, odd! LOL) It's a historical play about some of the old-time people who are buried there.

Very interesting on that play at the cemetery.

I've found some pictures of roman blinds for you and the instructions for making them are in the second site. They're a relatively cheap way to cover a window as you only need a piece of fabric big enough to cover the window. No need to add extra for gathers etc. like on curtains.

As for the primer - yes it would have been a good idea but we already had the paint anyway so they just started with that.
